it’s time to rewrite your story…

and the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows. – Luke 12:7

Deep inside of you there is a well. A deep well filled with dreams, visions, and ideas.

Thoughts of who you are, of what you will become, of what you have dreamt about your entire life; aching to come out, to be heard.

Today, I can promise you that if you listen to those things, they will become you… because they are you. They are the essence for what you were were born to do, who you were born to be.

So I ask you to listen & believe. That still still small voice inside of you whispering.  Its called your destiny. And today you will find it because it has already found you.

It’s time.

a new journey…

Back in August I began a trek across the country that would change my life more than I ever believed it could. People would ask me, how long are you staying, what brought you back, why HERE… and I simply would say “I’m afraid to say anything regarding my plans because I’m afraid that God will play a trick on me and leave me here. Needless to say this was the last place on earth you would find me if it were up to me… but it wasn’t up to me and over the past 6 months I’ve gotten pretty ok with it.  Have you ever just walked away from everything… EVERYTHING!?!  To some that might seem scary or irrational or inappropriate but for me it was out of necessity. Some times we choose things in life that aren’t the best road, that put in our path choices that we never imagined choosing. In these instances walking away is fairly simple, removing yourself from toxicity is a must, and setting your goals higher is a non-negotiable.  I’ve learned a great deal about myself in these past few months, but my favorite part of this journey has been my reconnection to my faith in Jesus Christ.  In this change I’ve felt the need to change all things… including Creme de la Curves.  I love connecting with my readers, filling you in on the latest style, trends, tips and fashion & beauty are totally a passion of mine.

Eliza Beerbower - Creme de la Curves

While I will still be creating interactions with you all, they will now be on a more personal level, filling you in on my struggles, my passions, my desires, and my dreams.  With all this said I’m so excited to announce a new adventure in my life. I took the first three months of my time here, to stop and focus my energy & time on me. I read A LOT… journaled even more and genuinely just prayed the most. I felt like the message I was getting was that of {grace}. I had been saved from entering into a world of hurt & unhappiness. I have a story to tell, but in that story there was a voice in me that said, tell others stories with your strength I’ve given you. Be their strength. And so I did in the form of {grace} magazine.  It was launched at the first of the year. I’m so blessed to have the contributors who have joined us on board.  I truly believe God is going to do amazing things through the testimonies of those enclosed in the pages of each issue. {grace} will be encouraging the same standards as Creme de la Curves, by using ALL women no matter her shape or size to represent us.

{DIY} Christmas Cupcake Ornaments

Last year on Pinterest, I saw these super cute cupcake ornaments and have been dying to try them ever since. If you follow any of my social media you already know that Christmas is my all time favorite holiday and that I love to go all out when it comes to decorating, baking, and just really everything that encompasses the season. These were actually extremely easy to make, and if you have a hot glue gun (which I did not) it would be even easier.

{glue the red bells on top and finish by gluing the liner to the ornament and your done.}

This is by far the easiest crafting project I’ve ever attempted and super cheap too.  I think the entire list of products cost less that $10-.  The only thing I have left to do is to come up with an equally cute way to wrap these for gifts.  Do you have any suggestion? Let me know your most creative idea in my comment section below and if I decide on yours I will include one of these for you in my gifting.

-Merry Christmas-

apples to apples…

Earlier this month I got to spend the weekend with my grandma.  In spending time with her she gave a lot of sage wisdom which I talked about here. I recommend anyone who has an elderly loved one, to take the time to go visit them. You can learn so much from the life they have fully lived.

Homemade applesauce is so much simpler than you would ever imagine a full recipe can be found here.

 I like to add cinnamon & agave nectar to mine.

Guinness Stout Chocolate Cupcakes

It’s no secret that I love cooking, baking and well anything that would have to do with creating. So of course, when my brother-in-laws birthday popped up on the calendar I thought it would be a perfect opportunity to play around with a recipe I’ve been curious with for a while now.  I’m such a big fan of chocolate stouts, especially the delicious one they serve around Christmas time down at the Four Peaks Brewery in Tempe, AZ, and I’d heard of Chocolate Stout Cupcakes, but never tried them out myself. I have to say I was beyond extremely impressed. They turned out so moist and the flavor was phenomenal especially with the added touch of the Bailey’s Cream Cheese frosting atop.

Guinness Stout Chocolate Cupcakes

  • 1 c. Guinness Stout
  • 1 c.  Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1 c. Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Devils Food Cake Mix
  • 1/2 c. Sour Cream
  • 2 Eggs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium sauce pan melt together butter, sugar and Guinness Stout, remove from heat and refrigerate to cool.  In a large mixing bowl add cake mix, eggs, and sour cream. slowly incorporate the Guinness Stout mixture and mix together until batter is smooth and silky. Divide into cupcake pans and bake for 18-22 minutes.

Bailey’s Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 1 Package of Cream Cheese (room temperature)
  • 4 c. Confectioners Suger
  • 4 T. Unsalted Butter
  • 1 Shot of Bailey’s Irish Cream

Cream all the wet ingredients together first then slowly incorporate confectioners sugar. Spread over cupcakes once they have completely cooled.

This recipe is great for any beer lover as well as a fun treat to make during St. Patricks Day.  What is your favorite unique combination of cupcake flavors?  Comment below I’d love to learn some new recipes…

Things I love…

You know… its coming to my attention very quickly that I love cute creative nails… not like the really out there kind like these…  (which to be honest I admire the artwork but they are definitely not my style.) but more like this.  Of course when I began curating this post,  the first thing I started looking at were nails…   (I wonder if that says something about my personality… hmmm  I’m going to have to google that and get back to you.)  So, these past few weeks have been insanely busy with traveling and working on location but in those travels I’ve come up with some amazing finds as well as being rekindled with some old favorites.

{This simple tutorial can be found here & would be a great adornment this holiday season}

{I’m a such a lover of California Red Wines,  I adore this creative way to display the corks.}

{Words cannot really express my love for these bath bombs… Unfortunately they are closed for the holidays so you’ll have to make a trip to Canada to get your own… but completely worth it I’ve loved them for years.}

{I think this is just a supreme idea and as a photo-junkie I would love to have my fridge covered.}

{I’m pretty sure these are a staple in everyones home in one way or another during the holidays and well if they are not then they should be.  You can find a full recipe here.}

glitz & glamour…

I entered into the fashion industry almost five years ago, as a makeup artist.  My role was always behind the scenes, helping others get ready.  In all that time of being surrounded by lights, cameras, and at hundreds of locations, I never once got in front of the camera.  Sure I had several behind the scenes photos taken of me working on clients but never a photo shoot that was all about me. In starting Creme de la Curves, I kept feeling strongly that if I was going to truly practice what I preach, I was going to need to get out from behind the scenes and put myself out there.  In reading one of my favorite blogs a couple of weeks ago, I was inspired to put those thoughts into action and planned a photo shoot. So I picked out an outfit… and started deciding on a location.  Here are the results…

                    { I was caught giving my hair a fluff… turned out to be a cool shot. }                                             { My entire outfit came from here… }

I put this outfit together as a dedication to one of my favorite blogger Too Many Sequins, after I found out that she was also 5’11” {because I am too}. She wears the most amazing high heels, I sometimes get insecure being both curvy and tall but faced that head on this weekend.

{Giveaway} beatrix prive – Luxury Plus Size Lingerie

Women love to feel sexy… we just do. No matter what the catalyst for these feelings, at the end of the day, all we want is to feel beautiful, sexy and loved. I can attest that as a curvy woman, shopping for lingerie isn’t always the most enjoyable experience.  There are so many variables to a curvy woman’s body, that it can be a challenge for a designer to create a piece can build both confidence, sex appeal and comfort.  For myself, when I find a cut or design that both fits and flatters I become quite loyal to the brand.

This weekend I was able to attend the national launch of beatrix prive, a plus size luxury lingerie, designed by Jenny Davis.  I was so excited to see not only the beautiful thought and craftsmanship that goes into each piece but also to experience the look and feel of the impeccable fabrics used.  I can’t wait to see the rest of the collections that were described to me come into fruition.

Using the finest silk charmeuse and imported lace, Davis told me she has been working for over two years on her design, perfecting both the look, feel and comfort of her thong. In speaking with Davis, she was explaining how ideally women like to match their bra and panties, no matter what their size. “We all have that bra that we love and look best in, and the matching bottoms don’t always offer the same flattering effect.  The color combinations of beatrix prive offer the ability to mix and match while allowing women to attain that overall goal of comfort and coverage.” stated Davis. The launch event was hosted by Strut Bridal Salon in downtown Phoenix, AZ with sponsorship from J.Bond Jewelry and My Goodness Cakes also both of Phoenix
